  • General Application Requirements: 
  1. Applications must be submitted in Arabic or English only. 
  2. Submitted projects must not have previously participated in any national or international competitions. 
  3. Winners must wait at least three years from the date of their last win to apply again 
  4. Each applicant can apply for only one category. 
  5. All application materials are securely stored at the Secretariat of the International Award of the National Centre for Palms & Dates and will not be returned to applicants, whether successful or not. 
  6. Applicants must specify the framework of their submitted projects, potential partners or contributors, and source(s) of funding. 
  • Requirements for the New Product Development Award: 
  1. Applications must be submitted on the organization’s official letterhead, confirming that the results or innovations are solely the applicant’s own work (for individual applicants). 
  2. If the applicant is an organization, the application must be submitted by the head of the organization (universities, research centers, private companies, institutions, or startups). 

 

  • General Documents Required: 
  1. Completed application form (in Arabic or English only). 
  2. A brief statement describing the context and framework of the project, potential partners/contributors, and sources of funding. 
  3. A written declaration that the submitted projects have not previously participated in any national or international competitions. 
  4. Identification documents (for individuals), and commercial license/registration (for organizations). 
  5. CV(s) of the applicant or team. 
  • Required Documents for the New Product Development Award: 
  1. A written declaration — on the organization’s official letterhead — confirming that the results or innovations are solely the applicant’s own work (for individuals). 
  2. For organizations, the application must be submitted by the head of the organization (university, research center, private company, institution, or startup). 

# All submitted materials and attachments will be kept at the Secretariat of the Award and will not be returned to applicants, regardless of the outcome.
