About the Program 

Dedicated to accrediting fumigation centers, the program provides an official directory of accredited fumigation facilities across the Kingdom. These centers specialize in treating dates using gases approved locally and internationally. They issue official fumigation certificates attesting to the safety and quality of export-ready dates. By ensuring top-notch standards, the program helps Saudi dates reach international markets with confidence and credibility. 

Program Objectives

• Establish a network of trusted, certified fumigation centers. 

• Provide a comprehensive guide of accredited facilities. 

• Guarantee the safety and premium quality of export-bound dates. 

• Help Saudi dates reach global markets with ease and confidence. 

• Strengthen compliance with both local and international standards. 

Program Requirements 

Accreditation of factories as fumigation centers:

• Compliance with the fumigation standards and requirements set by the National Centre for Palms & Dates. 

• Adherence to all government regulations and obtaining the necessary licenses for fumigation materials, while reporting their use to the National Centre for Palms & Dates. 

• Commitment to using only internationally approved fumigation substances at the correct concentrations suitable for dates. 

• Report to the Center the source and quantities of fumigation materials received. 

• Provide fumigation services to companies and factories engaged in date export, and issue official fumigation certificates for exporters addressed to the plant quarantine authority at the shipment’s point of exit. 

• Submit monthly reports to the Center specifying the quantities treated and the certificates issued to beneficiaries.
