The Council of Ministers has issued a decision to restructure the National Centre for Palms & Dates, transforming it from an entity operating under the Council of Saudi Chambers to an independent center reporting directly to the Ministry of Environment, Water & Agriculture. The new organizational arrangements are designed to strengthen the Center's role in advancing the Kingdom’s palm and date sector.
Under the decision, all programs and initiatives will be transferred from the former Palm & Dates Centre to the newly established National Centre, empowering the Board of Directors to oversee its operations in coordination with the Ministry of Finance and the Non-Oil Revenue Development Centre, pending the issuance of regulations governing service fees.
