The National Centre for Palms & Dates held an awards ceremony on Monday to honor the winners of its “Best Product” competition. Launched last November, the initiative aims to support local producers, boost domestic date consumption, and enhance Saudi date exports. The event was held under the patronage of H.E. Eng. Ahmed Al-Ayada, Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture for Agriculture, and attended by Dr. Mohammed Al-Nuwairan, CEO of the Centre, and Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Olayan, Executive Advisor at the Economic Business Center. 

More than 70 outstanding products participated in the competition and underwent rigorous digital evaluation and testing conducted by specialized expert panels to determine the winners. 

The ceremony began with a video showcasing the evaluation stages and participating products, followed by remarks from H.E. Eng. Al-Ayada, who commended the Centre’s ongoing efforts to advance the date sector through impactful initiatives and programs. 

The competition featured three categories, each comprising three winners: Best Product, Best Innovative Packaging, and Best Promotional Idea targeting youth and children. 

In the Best Processed Product category, Alia Taiba Dates Factory won first place for its Date Cornflakes, followed by Hajor Company in second for its Date Butter, while Modern Foods Industries came third for its Mabroom Date Bar with almonds and coconut. 
In the Innovative Packaging category, Yusuf Abdullah Al-Dakhil Trading took first place, with Specialized Dates Company coming second and Muzare Agricultural Products and Investment Opportunities Trading securing joint third place. In the Innovative Promotional Idea category targeting youth and children, Dates Basket Trading took first place, followed by Kingdom Dates Company in second and Rouh Al-Ghidha United Trading Company in third.
