It is a certification mark indicating that the establishment complies with the procedures followed in production and supply operations, that its products meet the standard specifications for food safety and date classification, and that it adheres to environmental sustainability standards.

Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA): Classifies factories according to the Factory Evaluation Program. Private Laboratories: Collect and test date samples for pesticide residues and microbiological analysis. National Center for Palm and Dates: Oversees operations, enforcement procedures, and approves the final decision. Takamul Holding: Handles the reception of applications for the label, reviews submitted documents, and issues the preliminary decision.

Applying standard specifications, conducting inspections, and complying with the authority’s requirements.

Industrial license. Product safety regarding pesticide residues and microbiological standards. Obtaining an A/A+ classification from the Food & Drug Authority. Commitment to applying the approved dates classification. Presence of an automatic grading line and adherence to post-harvest processes.

The cost of the Saudi Dates Mark is SAR 10,000, excluding VAT and testing fees. The beneficiary will be granted a corrective period to comply with the mark’s requirements and to undergo a laboratory retest for a fee .
