The Saudi Dates Trademark is a certification mark indicating that a company complies with proper production and supply procedures, meets standard requirements for food safety and date classification, and adheres to environmental sustainability standards.

The Mark aims to support product classification, sustainability, and the safety of both products and processes.

Saudi Food & Drug Authority (SFDA): Classifies factories based on the Factory Evaluation Program. Private Laboratories: Collect and test date samples for pesticide residues and microbiological safety. National Centre for Palms & Dates: Oversees operations, monitors compliance, and issues the final decision. Takamul Holding: Receives applications for the Mark, reviews the submitted documents, and issues preliminary decisions.

Saudi Dates Trademark Fee: SAR 10,000 (excluding VAT and testing fees) Testing fees vary based on the product to be registered and may include: Pesticide Residue Test: SAR 595 Microbiological Test: SAR 280 Sample Collection (per location): (Salmonella, Yeast and Molds, Total Coliform, E.coli): SAR 650. Total Testing Fee: SAR 1,525. Value-Added Tax (15%): SAR 229 Grand Total: SAR 1,754
