The Kingdom, represented by the National Center for Palms and Dates, participated in the American Food Industries Association conference in America, as one of the largest exporters and producers of dates globally, as the association includes more than 1,800 American and international companies specialized in exporting to the United States of America.The participation of the National Palm and Dates Center comes with an introductory presentation about the dates sector in the Kingdom and about exporters of Saudi dates and their derivatives to the world. To enhance communication with major American companies, in addition to studying new investment opportunities that would reach a broader global market, in line with the center’s strategy to increase the Kingdom’s exports of dates and their derivatives.It is noteworthy that the value of exports of Saudi dates and their derivatives to the United States of America doubled by 299% from 2016 until 2022, with an annual growth rate of 22%, according to the General Authority for Statistics.The dates and their derivatives sector in the Kingdom is witnessing an increase in its exports in 2022 by 5.4% compared to 2021, reaching one billion and 280 million riyals to 116 countries.
