In a step towards smart and future-oriented agriculture, the National Center for Palm and Dates (NCPD) has established a strategic partnership with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST). The partnership aims to deploy artificial intelligence and robotics technologies to serve Saudi palms.

The initiative includes developing automated pollination systems, automating harvesting processes, and detecting and handling fruits, thereby enhancing production efficiency and quality. It also supports the Kingdom’s vision for sustainable agricultural transformation and technological innovation in the palm and dates sector.
