The National Center for Palm and Dates organized on Monday an awards ceremony for the Best Product competition launched by the center in November, aiming to support national products, boost domestic consumption, and increase the Kingdom's date exports. The event was held under the patronage of the Undersecretary for Agriculture, Engineer Ahmed Al-Eyada, with the presence of the CEO Dr. Mohammed Al-Nuwairen and Executive Advisor Dr. Abdulrahman Al-Aliyan of the Economic Business Center. Over 70 distinctive products were evaluated by specialized teams and underwent rigorous digital tests to select the winning products. The ceremony included a video presentation on the committee's evaluation process, and before presenting the awards, the Undersecretary for Agriculture, Engineer Ahmed Al-Eyada, commended the center's efforts in serving the sector through various initiatives and projects. The competition targeted three categories, each with three positions: Best Product, Best Innovative Packaging, and Best Creative Advertising Idea for Youth and Children. The High Tayyibah Dates Factory won first place in the Best Converted Product category with its Corn Flakes with Dates product. Hujr Company's factory secured the second position with its Date Butter, and the Contemporary Foods Factory came in third with its Almond and Coconut Bar. In the Best Innovative Packaging category, Youssef Abdullah Al-Dakhil Trading Company claimed the first position, while Dates Specialist Company and Agricultural Products Farms Company took the second and third positions, respectively. Basket of Dates Trading Company secured the first position in the Best Creative Advertising Idea category for Youth and Children, with Kingdom Dates Company's factory in second place and United Food Spirit Trading Company winning third place.
